Neumann TLM 49

The TLM 49 is a cardioid (good) Designed for making voice and although I have been able to try it on other source, it should work well on instruments that do not s'inquitent its size! As a reminder, PSE 825 grams, 80 grams against the 184 of one kilometer! You will find others on the site CHARACTERISTICS Neumann.

I notice a 9 / 10 parcequ'au level dynamic cash, it is confined to a 110 dB THD <0.5% only (up 129 dB, but when you take a harmonic distortion of 5% prs !) compared to 138 dB for THD 0.5% of the TLM 103, one wonders how a singer sounds OPRA open strong

OVERALL OPINION

I tried for a month on various voice and is more convincing: over my TLM 103, it is less flashy, subjectively "less flat", vaguely warm. But if in addition it is a branch prampli lamp (here, my Universal Audio 610) Difference is the landmark. On this prampli, the TLM 103 sounds almost bitter when the TLM 49 sounds really Describes as "soft", "hot" with a grain and a really flattering finesse in the mix. On a Focusrite is less marked.

Here too, 9 / 10 because of its size limits its use even when (vocals, bass, acoustic guitars - and probably not enough to absorb the high SPL dynamic brass prs taken too!)
on the other hand, there really is a face of "big studio microphone" and is sure to impress the singers go home! A psychological effect that is probably not for a ngligeable INTERPRETATION ...
Note also that automatically comes with its suspension, which justifies a little better qualitprix report from the TLM 103.
