Hey yall im Adam and i am deffinitely a newbin. I just purchased this condensor mic and have not used it yet. I plug it into my M-audio black box but no sound comes out. a friend told me something about needing phantom power. any advice on what i should do to start recording with this thing?[b]

Hi Adam,

You bought a condenser microphone which needs a 48V Phantom power.
2 solutions :
- You buy an audio interface with a phantom power (but the Phantom power is never really good on an USB interface if there is no other power supply)
- You buy a preamp with a phantom power
