Bass pod xt and behringer FBQ2496 in pa setup

Hi all, new here so hope someone can help me!
firstly i run my bass into my podxt into the pa but the sound isnt defined enough,anyone know how to get the best sound from the gear i use?
secondly we've bought the feedback destroyer but the manual doesnt make sense to us! anyone know how to set it up with a pa but just for vocals, weve connected it via the insert point on the vocal channel but apart from that we're stuck!
