Owner of a Boss RC20-XL I bought a cheap Jamman
I will state here the plutt significant diffrence between the two to help those who hsitent between these two machines
The CHARACTERISTICS are quite similar if not the loop number (99 instead of 11 for RC), the recording time (16 min. .... 6.50 for RC Jamman for hours with a 2GB card) and USB connections well sr.
UTILIZATION
As a guitarist, I like simple devices and can be controlled at the foot, so these two machines are well suited me
Question use is similar: I do not have to read the user manual of Jamman to know how to use it almost like the RC (it's a bit of CLNE)
Besides the user manual EHJV srieusement on one point: the PC edition of the Compact Flash card! must be impractical to go see 'tips' of the site (then click on the tab above) to understand and to really use the machine donf
What is missing is also really a mtronome 'calibrated. I had made the remarks to the RC as the Tap Tempo is easy for a guitarist, but totally imprcis. Fortunately, there are ways to overcome this thanks Jamman Tarre with the PC edition via CF card (see below)
Battery level sound is slightly more complete than the RC, but it is not a BR intgrehlas. But again, thanks edition of the CF card, it has bearing means (see below)
SOUND QUALITY
I grateux. I do not use Live, but not at home to compose, rpter and fun, and often with headphones. So I do not judge the quality of sound that for me is completely correct on the 2
I'm not a pc edition of my pieces, I want the Plug & Play
OVERALL OPINION
All of the pedals intrt RSID in the edition (or via USB port of PC CF) CF card.
Thanks that there are ways:
- Pr-recorded loops of batteries. Wav which are the shovel on the net for example, but also bass, etc ... is a clear advantage over the RC (warning: it takes mono!)
- Pr-set the tempo of loops through the xml file! and thus to calibrate the mtronome (see how in the 'tips'). Since there are 99 loops, you can pre-program each time a dozen loops 80 bpm, 100, 120 etc ...
- And videmmment backup in reverse on a PC!
So in the end, the Jamman clearly offers more opportunities for shipping, there's no photo. It takes a can put his hands in the 'dirty' (well, the PC), but it just beginners, then you can have fun!
Now that I have, I find the RC lot behind his era as the price of the computer (cd peanuts) has not rated anything to add the possibility of Jamman .
