Value For Money :
Poor
So once will not hurt I'll post my opinion especially to point out a few things that would be better able to think on that machine.
No need to go back too much on what everybody know dj has undoubtedly remains probably the best pedals for this type of use (with The models of Boss competitor). Personally I have a definite preferences for the Jam Man, I tried the RC20 it dja There's a long time but the memory SETTING THE taient volumes much less specific than what is obtained with the Jam man without much to the head. But it is a crucial point for this type of machine is really apprciable (This is critical RC20 elsewhere also for the DD20 ... except for him, the sampling of the sentence is seen as a bonus that even when the basis is essentially a time limit!)
Although I do not rpandrait houses on the Jam Man I think aadja t is lower and I would not add anything (except that the criticisms I make m'aprte do not invalidate the overall quality of the product).
The connection ...
first point that would be better put: That would really not t the luxury of having an out "dry out" and left a "effect" in order to spare, for example, stay tuned to the Jam Man while sending the audio loops to another strip or another amp, just to clarify his or well Sparer two (with stamps amp DIFFERENT). It is a dtail but I find a shame.
The XLR connectors ... big plus for users of Micros, I did not test this use but it's better to have an affair symtrique. Except, of course the average user will use an SM58 or any other dynamic mic on it ... but many users of sounds qute exprimentaux might logically want to use the sound concrte, looping. And while it lacks something bte: As has put in an XLR microphone jack it is unfortunate that Digitech is not thought to put a condenser microphone Phantom PSU (especially as a function AC). L is still a dtail but personally I think if the Jam man had two small dtails more I would have bought may be easier (I have seen that in the end decided not to buy my APRS tests, at least not yet). For me the sound with static t have a big big plus for what I had to do.
Last dtail still small li connectors:
The controller optional dja let shame this stuff is practically indispensable for playing live, if the setting was a little complicated ncessitent several loops. Anyway for me the will (for use other than with microphones expriemntatiosn .
So we can dplorer two things:
- That the footswitch is optional and not provided by default (and in addition it is not given), ca even seen one can understand that everyone does not forcment utility.
- But what would have t cool is it to do a simple footswitch jack a 3 point to two rather simple footswitch connection specially. It'll have enabled those of dja gnrique footswitch (such FS5U Boss), which is my case, to use to change the memory but not yet dbourser from 50 to 70 euros ( in addition also the memory card of 2GB). Well actually exploded with a cable can be run even when a footswitch to change the memory but only downwards. It is not the same when IDAL.
Dtails three that I mentioned is probably the one that seems most unfortunate because it's practically the choice of a manufacturer to force an incompatibility with the stuff that should be (they could have also put a MIDI ...). And it just for the principle drrange me. Especially since as an added control on a footswitch, an Undo function to quickly erase a loop rat would have seemed much more useful than the activation of the car boot, a little gadget my taste.
UTILIZATION
Some other points ngatifs Gnant enough in the end:
- Time stretch ... 're ashamed enough even when it is dgeulasse. Phrases to work slowly picks his discman, a must, but if it is to change the tempo of a loop playing live is frankly not possible, ca DGRAD really sound too . APRS his fans and dirty "Bit Crusher" can aprcier this aspect also, as part of my "taken the microphone" I would surely be a feat, the default dtourner a machine is often INTERESTED remains that in absolute terms it is a default, and size.
Especially since you can not change the tempo of a loop being played with the feet (trs be less skillful toes and play barefoot or in socks ^ ^; with docks, you forget ...).
To drive the point I think the tempo is really trs prcis little one feels too large bearings, I t really stuck with a loop for a fairly complicated one click o t would be welcome! APRS good I went out without using the tempo at all but it's a shame to be countered t.
SOUND QUALITY
Good l no comment, except that given level, meets a pretty sound that enters the overdub seem to work well and as I said above the equilibrium level seems to me much finer that what I remember the RC20.
Last minute EDIT: rponse two comments I've seen lower
- It is perfectly possible to do more overdubs later, usually infinite, just that ds has made one over another function Anüll no longer cancel the first. (But if we change the memory and that has saved the initial loop you will be fine).
- Other dtail: in terms of saturation imagine putting your disto BEFORE Jam man! If you use one of the amp going through an effects loop. This kind of device is put in the chain at the level of equipment delays just before the reverb. Probably people who mentioned this problem have everything right but the same precision can still be used, especially if you want to try it in a store (bring your own distortion )
OVERALL OPINION
As some of my other comments this is a clear test, but intensive. Notice hot money (but practice at home with my stuff, the best conditions, not in a store).
As I said I dj, I mainly as a comparison the RC20 and DD20. I did not look at Guitar Rig but will not be long.
To conclude ... I think that was still a bit expensive given the default few teachers and the fact that we should lengthen a little derrire for the card and memory pdalier. So mdiocre report quality price, but it is by the price apche not the same quality which is when many l.
Voil J'espre that everyone will understand that I have decided to speak only of its default, has still a great product.
