Carvin's new HD1500 amp delivers 1500W bridged at 4 ohms.
It can also run at 2 or 8 ohms, ranging in power from 750W at 2 ohms and 300W (900 bridged) at 8 ohms. Unlike comparable amps, the HD1500 is made in the USA and designed for 2 ohm continuous power, Carvin says.
The HD1500 is similar to the DCML amps, except bridging is done through binding post or R/L Speakon outputs.
Other features include a 94% efficient Class D design, 100 Hz crossover for subwoofers, built in limiters to protect your speakers and balanced XLR inputs. The 2 rackspace HD1500 weighs in at 9 pounds.
