2008 marks the 50th anniversary of British rock n' roll legends, The Shadows; as a tribute, Burns introduces the Apache Special.
Named after the band’s most famous hit, this guitar was modelled closely to the original 1964 Marvin Guitar. The guitar’s neck is made from top grade figured maple and fitted with an rosewood fingerboard & PEARL Binding. The body is made from light weight Swamp Ash or Alder and finished in either white or green sunburst polyester.
The three-piece scratchplates are made from a White Pearloid material and fitted with three exclusive Hand-wound Rezomatic pickups specially made by Jim Cairnes for this guitar and the Bison Anniversary model. The Rez-o-tube tremolo unit is engraved with the Head of an APACHE Indian Chief, as well as the headstock badge and tremolo arm:
The serial number plate on the back of the guitar also is engraved with the APACHE emblem and carries the limited edition number.
Luxury case included.
