Good value for money
Published on 11/27/10 at 05:10 (This content has been automatically translated from French)For how long have you been using it?
Just over 1 year
Did you try many other models before getting this one?
not
What thing do you like most/least about it?
Motorized faders that price is a dream.
Flexible to use and well integrated with Cubase essential, this surface can very intuitively change the level of tracks, created automated systems and even customize certain commands.
on the other hand is more comfortable with another area dedicated solely to "transport" (Presonus faderprot in my case)
What thing do you like most/least about it?
+ Flexible and intuitive
_ Knobs a bit noisy
_ Quickly disrupted by other devices
What is your opinion about the value for the price?

Did you try many other models before getting this one?
No, but I have seen other work beyond comparison (Digidesign C24
What thing do you like most/least about it?
Most: the motorized faders, ease of use (although for the moment, the phase assignment "faders / knobs' with my VST is tedious), the small utility that displays BCFView information to screen
Minimum: The integrated display style alarm clock radio (which does good to me), the "pads" come unglued rubber (I have already lost one), plastic buttons, which are cheap "bed -clack "each time, the knobs that I was looking a little fragile

What is your opinion about the value for the price?
Definitely unbeatable
Knowing what you know now, would you make the same choice?
Sure. In this price range, it is a UFO.
I use FL Studio on 9 / 64 with Seven Windows 64bit operating systems. It works nickel. The preferred method of communication with the DAW is "Mackie Control" (for video tutorials on the net well explain the integration of the BCF2000 in FL that way)
Bought new 155 euros (because that model-finish "midnight blue" if found 125 euros in white!) Hard to be disappointed unless you are in bad faith.
However, I would not have been reluctant to purchase a more expensive but better finish in the range of 250-300 euros but in a less cheap box with knobs and buttons strongest most elegant in the vein of the Akai MPC example ( but I am a very naïve!)

Price paid: $200 USD
Its very easy to use in a session but I still havent figured out how to save presets and installing the drivers took some time because i had to find them on the behringer website because they do not come with it I didnt like that
It seems pretty strong so far but im still very careful with it
I love it Im looking into getting the BCR 2000 now which is the version of this but with only rotary knobs

I had my eyes on the Mackie digital controllers, but the price of those was prohibitive. I soon discovered that audio on the cheap company Behringer had a product in the same vein. I have been quite happy with this since getting it. It is very easy to install, simply connect with MIDI, set your program to recognize it, and it works very well. The manual is unfortunately not that detailed, but you can find help online if you need it. You can connect more than one of these if you want more channels. It gives you 8 faders that are motorized, and with most programs you can write the fader automation on to your song. Then when it plays back, the faders will automatically move. You can switch which tracks are controlled by which faders as well, so you are not limited in that way. There is also a pan pot for every fader, so you can assign that to control panning or other things in your DAW as well. There is a limited amount of visual feedback in terms of display on this controller, but that is part of what you lose with the hugely lower cost of this when compared to the Mackie or Tascam controllers. In terms of sensitivity, it has worked totally fine. The feel of the faders feels no different from the Mackie one, which a friend has. There are also other handy functions. You can mute and solo the tracks that are selected for the faders. You can start and stop playback with it as well. One thing I don't like is that since it's cheaper components, it's a bit less durable. One of the caps on my faders has already come loose, and while some superglue fixed it that should tell you something about the craftsmanship. For the price, you absolutely can't get a product like this cheaper, so it's a great value. I am overall happy with it, so I would get it again.See less00
