The Lute used by Cinematique Instruments for this library features 8 courses tuned in unison (a’ e’ b g d A G E for the highest to the lowest). They samples the 13 strings with 3 velocity layers and 4 round robins and you can play the same note in Kontakt but in different positions, each with a different timbre, via the modulation wheel, a pedal or the keyswitches. You also can control the volume, flam and detune of the courses via different knobs available on the GUI, with random control or via velocity. Last, finger noise samples are automatically added via the noise trigger script, and you can control their volume.
Lute requires full version of Kontakt 4.22 and later. It is available for 38€ ($50 approximately) at cinematique-instruments.com.
