This is an overdrive pedal, signing Brad Paisley, famous American country guitarist known for his playing and his impeccable sound quality.
The pedal is rugged and beautiful, like all wampler comes with a battery installed that can be removed if you want to connect the external power supply.
This is, I believe, analog and has an input and an output jack, 3 knobs (volume, tone and gain) and two selectors (presence and mid contour).

UTILIZATION

Pedal very easy to use: volume, gain setting, tone, presence of adjustment to further enhance or decrease the treble if you have a very bright guitar. Setting sculpted contours mid mids with 3 different positions: the first at the bottom that accentuates the lower midrange. One in the middle is neutral, and a final top that accentuates the upper midrange. Very effective and can adapt to all types of guitars, more or less ...
Personally, I have taken time to "tame" and for a moment I wondered if I was not going to return. I have another pedal distortion / overdrive that I like a lot but eventually also two complement each other very well. With the 2 I have a wider sonic palette.
The manual, although English is very well explained.

SOUND QUALITY

The sound quality is unquestionable. The knobs and switches are extremely effective. Obviously do not expect to have the sound of Brad Paisley (although it comes close), unless you play like him and have the same guitars and amps ... It may be a little disappointed at first, for my part, I took me a while to find a setting that I liked but now it is a pedal that I love.
It is stated in the notice that the pedal can be used with both single coils that doubles for a perfect result, and indeed this is the case! Equipped with a double strat is wonderful, grain grainy and very warm with highs incisive ... This pedal is obviously designed to play country / blues, coupled with a tele, it has a lot of dynamics, harmonics and sustain. It is absolutely beautiful. Personally, I find the sound much nicer when the gain is not too high.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for almost a year. I have not specifically tried many overdrive before but after watching a lot of videos on the internet, I thought that's what I needed her there and she is fine. Depending on the hardware you have, the sound may differ this is true for any pedal but more on it.
Wampler pedals are certainly expensive but they are worth their price, it is of very high quality in all respects and is made to last a lifetime.
I do not regret even though I would have liked to try other overdrive range Wampler.
