Wampler Pedals The Paisley Drive
Overjam Overjam

«  One of the best overdrive in the world! »

This is an overdrive of the famous "boutique pedal maker" Brian Wampler, who makes perhaps the pedal overdrive / distortion / fuzz among the best on the market.
This overdrive pedal has 3 knobs: volume, gain, and tone, and two switches: Presence (on / off) and Contour (3 positions). It can accommodate virtually any style of guitar or amp, the switches are super efficient and super impressive.
For the rest, Wampler Quality: very sturdy pedal, made like a tank, true bypass, etc..

UTILIZATION

Operation is very simple and intuitive, the switches are so efficient that is quick to find the sound we are looking for the pedal is very versatile, you can have a vintage sound like a modern sound, aggressive enough.
The gain also changes from a clean boost to gain a fairly extensive (but not bring us into the regions of distortion, it's still quite melodic, even pushed to the end).

SOUND QUALITY

This is where this pedal hard, and just listen to the demos on YouTube to realize it. Originally intended for Brad Paisley, country music player (music, not very popular in our countries, admittedly) this overdrive is perfectly suited to any style of rock, from blues to hard rock, to indie the brit ... everything!
The sound is warm, "tight", and the pedal sounds great even when playing chords with all the notes, each note is distinctly heard ringing. It's very melodic, so perfect for riffs accompaniments as well as solos performed well.

OVERALL OPINION

I spent a long time to listen and try to overdrive, but that it was a favorite and this OD is gone to be a centerpiece of my pedalboard.
