Value For Money :
Excellent
- Did you have any problems during the installation?
No problems at all. I only pressed a button and everything was done automatically...pretty normal, I'd say.
- Did you have any incompatibility problems?
None, I didn't install it on many systems, only WinXP and Cubase SX3. It works awesome.
- Is the overall configuration easy?
HahaAAA! It's a Rube Goldberg machine. You can adjust so many things... It takes quite sometime to get familiar with it. I recommend using a snare hit in loops and a click, and in 2-3 hours you ought to know how it works. You end up noticing it's not that complicated... Everything can be automatized, which is good :D
Why is there no TDM version? This plug-in is very resources-intensive and there's no TDM version? That's not cool, Mr. PSP... 7/10 because there's no TDM
PERFORMANCE
- What's your computer? (motherboard/CPU/RAM/HDD/sound card..)
WinXP with Core2Duo 3.2GHz, 2Gb RAM CORSAIR, Motu 2408MK3 soundcard
- Does the software work correctly with your setup?
Impeccably well.
- How is the performance?
See below.
- What about the hardware/software configuration stability?
Everything works fine. But it's very resources-intensive, so 8/10 for that.
OVERALL OPINION
- How long have you been using the product?
I've had the demo version for not so long, but I plan to buy the real one.
- Which features do you like the most / the least?
Pros: This plug-in is magical. The algorithm is very meticulous, the delays you can get from it are simply magical. Actually, I liked the plug-in so much that I searched whether there was a hardware version. Apparently, this is no emulation of a pre-existing unit, like the psp42 for example.
So, yes, I'd say this is THE delay for music creation, electronic, dub and many other styles...
- Did you try any other models before buying it?
I tried out hardware and plug-ins, including the Waves 6TAP delay in TDM version, and I think this one is more evolved, much more meticulously conceived and with a better overall audio quality. It has a warmth and depth that the 6TAP lacks.
- How would you rate its value for money?
I haven't bought it yet, but I've seen it costs $145 online, together with other great delays. I think it's a good value for money if you want a delay pack up to the job.
- Based on your experience, would you choose this product again?
I actually chose this product based on my experience :D
9/10, because, apparently, even after using it for a long time, it's hard to get to the limits of its possibilities.
