The V-Amp (2) is an amp simulator. It can reproduce sounds and SETTING THE sounds of 32 amps clbres and / or mythical. It also provides the simulation of 15 speakers and is equipped with a multi-effects INTERESTED.
It is equipped among other things, a line between Stereo, a headphone output and in / out MIDI (to receive patches or back).
The whole is enclosed in a blue plastic Casing. T have a carcass mtallique fits most, especially when the fate often (RPET, concerts). Similarly, the connector jack (still plastic) seem a little fragile.
The V-Amp comes standard with a footswitch and a convenient carrying case.
Upgrades to the EPROM, the editors, patches are tlchargeables free sites and the Behringer V-Amp (www.v-amp.com)
UTILIZATION
Adj for anyone used a guitar amp, the use of basic functions is simplisime: it contains the classic CONTRL (gain, bass, middle, treble, volume, master). In addition, Access in DIFFERENT amps and effects is equally simple.
Moreover, except Master Volume, potentimtres are all continuous rotation and position is indicated by a red LED. Gnial in dark places.
The patches are classs in 25 banks of 5 sounds. Access in patches of a bank is ais: either by direct ACCS with one of five buttons, or with the two buttons pdalier. Important: there is a small latency (1 sec) when changing patch. It can interfere when necessary to change its instantanment.
L or less is nice, it's Access in "second paramtres" (Presence, 2nd paramtre effects, 17 amps -> 32). It must indeed use two hands at the same time to change them. Ds difficult when direct costs rglages (unless your name is and that Hendrix plays with teeth!).
The five configurations are gnrales trs INTERESTED: they allow to adjust the V-Amp to the hardware it is connected (table mix, guitar amp, power amp, etc..) And change the qualisation gnrale altrer without the patches. To resolve the effect INTERESTED 'Fletsher - Munson'.
SOUND QUALITY
I can not indicate whether the V-Amp sounds are close or not simulated amps.
Anyway, this machine hard. I directly connect my mixer. And the sound that comes out of my speakers Hi-Fi is just as good as a guitar amp.
The mdaille is primarily for distortions in which the bass and harmonics of clatent Manir extraordinary. It is possible to obtain grains of all kinds and trsralistes. Scores high enough and the harmonics, however, lack of sustain.
Clean sounds are a little poorer. Similarly, unfortunately there is no acoustic amp simulator.
OVERALL OPINION
For those familiar with the German firm BEHRINGER, the ratio quality / CHARACTERISTICS / price is not surprising: it is quite gnial.
The few criticisms I make are:
- The memory is upgradable by changing the EPROM. A flash memory does have more practical
- The plastic case seems somewhat fragile. In addition, the cables that leave all cts are not esttiques trs (rack version would be INTERESTED)
- The ACCS is not certain paramtres boards. Supplmentaire a button for a dj Presence is more
- The power connector is not universal (very annoying when the transformer is dead or when we forget - another will not be compatible).
Everything else is taken, including the after-sales service of Behringer, fast, friendly and efficient.
