It's an amp simulator numrique accompanied by a lamp (which can give warmth to the sound especially clear). Sounds are ditables tlchargeable via software on the site of Vox, but they are also manually directly on the BTE. Little more than anyone else does: this machine is equipped with a tuner very nice! For other spcificits go to the Vox site says everything is there!

UTILIZATION

The use is really nice, the knobs turn (like a real amp!), No gas plant with 36,000 buttons and sub menus! Short! We quickly understand the use and it's really a plus (especially compared to the Pod XT which I think is more complicated to use. That said, I find ergonomic level Vox really well thought out!

SOUND QUALITY

I put him 8 / 10 mid-level sounds, but MRIT more in the style you like! Let me explain:

- Clean sounds or crunch: 10/10, is not the picture is really well made trs (nothing to do with the sound of pan from the Pod XT! No, no I'm not pro-Vox but I say what I think because I tried the Pod too!). The lamp is pre-amplification trs good job to find a warmth to the sound! Go try it I'm sure you will agree.

- Heavy distortion: 6 / 10, is the good and less good (in spite of the lamp). Rock bottom for sounds in the acute (good for solos, some styles of play) the Vox Tonelab plutt is doing well. L o EHJV, well ... it is precisely that lack of PCHE. Distortion level is really way, the big sounds and then add a refrain of distortion pedals becaufe this is really me most dsappoint force to use the Tonelab ... Impossible to give a big sound saturation worthy of the Metal Tanks. Too bad ... However it tight deadlines that the trs good hardware for the price.

In résumé: Slashed mtal of very heavy, you will be due, I think will go your way and can be on the Pod XT (the latter giving all of the same sounds much more "synth ticks "that Vox's ear.) other more eclectic: blues, rock, country ... There you will not regret it.

I use a Music Man LUKE 2 (with piezo) and I must say that the crunch and clean sounds are fantastic! The DIFFERENT tones of the guitar pickups are really well made (although it's numrique) and the Personal in my guitar is not lse by Vox (unlike the Pod that pr not feel the true sound of the guitar it even). In my opinion the natural sound of my guitar is better made with the Vox with the Pod. That said, there are sounds of simulation Lukather on the net for the Pod XT with the scratches!

The sounds are pretty saturated as indicated above for the rock, but hey, Vox could have done better I think on that!

OVERALL OPINION

I use the Tonelab for the past six months and I did not enocre lass! Y adj enough stuff to it and then all dpend of his game!

As said, this is a hardware + rel: Global Warming is the lamp that sounds clear and well-crunch (some clean sounds with the piezo ... mmmhhh!)

But - more on: heavy distortion (which lack EHJV for mtaleux heavy! So Heavy going in!)

Compared to the Pod XT is its direct competitor, when I tried cte cte two simulators amp, the Vox I immediately made a better impression in terms of color and sound gnral made its ear (especially with headphones). The finish is also more pro Vox with its case mtal blue is much better figure than the plastic shell of the pod.

Report QualitPrix: worth it! Go ahead without problem for about 500 it's all good! Pdaliers two are optional. For my part I took the little (5 buttons at the bottom instead of on the big 12!). The icing on the gteau my dealer offered it to me! (Having said that I had not bought the Vox right now!)

Else if my purchase silent again: Yes Obviously for this product line!
