Ok, here's the deal. I'm looking for a 12 to 16 channel mixer that can connect to my computer via USB, FireWire, or with it's own card, that will allow me to select which channels I want to record from, instead just of having all it's channels running into my PC as one big lump of sound.

For example, I want to be able to open Acid Pro 6, and set tracks one, two, and three to record channels one, two, and three from the mixer. Is there a mixer intuitive enough to send independant signals from each of its channels to my computer??

Does such an animal exist?? I saw the M-Audio ProjectMix I/O, but I don't know if it will be compatible with Acid Pro, not to mention the fact that I think it's more than what I need. Does anybody know if the mixer I'm looking for exists? Thanks.
