Good and well is the small spcial (Gnrale between the end epiphone / gibson) of MODEL SG made in USA (as is the handle engraved Behind: )), mahogany varnish Nitrocellulose (it gives a nice effect, very dull, but it protects not much), the handle also sg standard mahogany, the fingerboard is rosewood and has featured white spot up, rather rare on the SG (they are usually species of rectangles), but not so much on sries spcial (I remember having a small epiphone les paul special also dotted). Tune-O-Matic bridge, no tremolo so. The pickups are endless 490R and 490T, 2 volumes, 2 tones, 3-position switch (the 490T, both the 490R).
UTILIZATION
A super jouabilit such as an SG standard. It is a rock guitar riffs and solos directs. The handle is what it is for 50 years, relatively large, 22 frets, ultra-accessible, with answering and nevertheless have the tie then.
It's fast but not soft, here.
In my config, all rglages are exploitable, some work better in rhythm, others work better as solos, especially the amps tones depending utiliss.
SOUNDS
We will say directly, it sounds great! it's good guitar. I play in a group that requires large (big) distos and good, they clearly do.
The grip is natural, the possibilities of sound (switch and tone), although different from each other.
I plug a V-twin, a 9200 and one (or two) 1960 (G12T 75's), its 3 distinct sounds are real and well rendered. It makes such a JCM900 MKIII (though this config least respects the characters of the guitar).
Mics mlent strong enough strings, which makes - at least I think - the solos endiablsa half drunk, everyone does not mind a shredder meticulous ...
Apart from the p90 is more or less the same thing on the other SGs.
I had a bunch of money in my pocket and i was ready to pay me a more "high-end" but sincere, after you test all the SGs available Store - mod the more or less so - I came to this special. Nothing better to my ear before 1000 or 2000 euros more.
the quality-price ratio is ensured.
OVERALL OPINION
I've had it a year, I played guitar for 17 years, I always (thought) prefers fenders ... I ax my research in this direction and strength to try everything, this is the guitar that spoke to me directly, rather than the pretty tl Thinline, jag and other "opposs" a direct this SG.
Apart from the finish, and cost zero option (no white on the button, no square pearl, not hidden microphones, no lacquer paints, etc. ...), I found it has everything a great question and comfort.
