Value For Money :
Poor
Set stereo microphones Neuman dynamic stick format.
Cardioid condenser microphones, used for a large number of outlets including:
- Overhead drums, percussion, vibration ...
- Snare, Charley
- Vocals
- In XY acoustic guitars are great (if well placed ...)
But they can make an excellent complement encoding in MS coupled with microphones in Figure 8
OVERALL OPINION
I use it for over 10 years in the studio pro.
I had the opportunity to compare them with equivalent Octava, Beyer etc
I prefer them despite their high price for the purity of the record, they are more detailed and open than others.
I never use the bonnets and I fit in preamp transistor class A or transo (Neve, Focusrite ISA, SSL), no lamp to keep the details of the high frequencies.
Without hesitation I would resume the Neumann KM 184, except perhaps for the scene to be low budget, but for the studio, no hesitation.
