1 Could somebody break down how to sync instruments with DAW software??
I'm going to be using Acid Pro 6 soon... I'm wondering how you can syncronize audio recording software with Midi instruments so that, basically, when you hit record on the software, it automatically hits play on the instruments. The reason I'm asking is because I'll have to hit record four and five times to get the complete instrumental recorded (because I'll only have 4 assignable outs on my module, but 16 total channels to record). I don't want to have to shift and adjust the tracks over and over again. I just want to hit record, and the midi devices just start playing at the exact same spot every time.

Is 'word clock' what enables this to happen? I see on a lot of interfaces that there are these 'wordclock' connection ports (they almost look like coaxial cables). Apparently it's possible, but in my readings, I'm not seeing how it works or the science behind it. Please help. Thanks.
