Hi all
My name is Elvis, from Finland i latly decide to start a small home
studio, write and record my music, but the trouble is that i´m still on
the setup level i just cant set my cubase to work with my mixer, or to
record from the mixer. I´m usind a Phonic mixer model MU1002, a REALTEK
AC97 Audio as sound card, it has one line in , one mic in , and one
line out( standard sound card). I´m using cubase as recording software.
Could you please help me to set up the all thing so it can work.
Thanks a lot.

Have you tried creating a new audio track, selecting the sound card's line, and then record enableing it or monitoring it?

that ssssss is either a bad cable, a bad input plug, an issue with phasing, outside 60hz buzz, or some internal software issue. maybe its even feedback.
Try to isolate the hiss, swap out cables, etc. Trial and error are the best ways.
was the sound in the room when you recorded? this can be your computer fan, central heating, anything that makes a hiss. If so, get rid of that sound! always make sure your recording space is as close to silent as you can get.
