i was in a shop out of town and i was playing a bunch of different fenders, when i saw a squier that was jsut what i was looking for. im not a fan of tom but his guitar is cool. its not the real thing but close enough. i paid 300 canadian for it at a local shop when i got home and had enough money.

its simple and it kills. it has a detenator pickup in it and its great for punk. it is very attractive and its light, because its not that great of wood.

the wood isnt that great, but for 300 bucks what do you expect.

very strong. it needed a slight truss rod adjustment and that was that. its very strong, and the tuners kick ass. i dont know if i got lucky but it doesnt go out of tune, even with heavey bending. its the best thing you can get this cheap. i like it better than my epiphone les paul standard.

if you like big harmonics and heavy distortion buy this thing. cant go wrong

I still haven't bought this guitar. I played it twice at the shop. it sells for 759$ Can.

This is an amazing guitar. I love the fat sound u get from the Invader pickup. At first, when i saw that it had only one pickup and no tone button, i didn't think it'd be that great, but i was pretty damn impressed. This is the perfect guitar if u play punk/alternative or any sorta heavy music

I personally don't not like anything about this guitar, but if ur looking for an axe thats versatile, that u can play lotsa different kinds of music on, dont get it. get the Fender Texas Fat Strat instead. But, all i play is punk so thats why i like it.

Amazing. This ###### is built like a tank. I bet if i were to buy this in the future, that it'd last a long time.

Once again, this is a ###### sick guitar for anyone who plays punk. I CANT WAIT TILL I GET ONE!

I bought this guitar over at a guitar center, for somewhere about 400 to 500.


Well at first i didnt think it had to much to offer, but then when i got home and started to F### with it, i found out why Tom created this. it feels good, it sounds good, and its just far out awsome. there's some people i know that talked bad about it, but there just a bunch of D###, they cant even make their own music.

i do have to admit that the guitar doesnt have alot of shit to it but if your a punk rocker like me, then you'll under stand. the only thing i wish they would change is the price though.

its simple, nice, and feels good while playing.

this guitar is fuckin awsome!!!!if you like a good looking guitar with a good feeling, and your a punk. then buy this man!!!for real!!! or if you dont have alot of money, then go buy the squire version, there both the same, except the squire's have no pearl pick guard though.

Recently I've been looking into buying a new guitar. Hearing nothing but good reviews about Fener's Tom DeLonge Stratocaster, I decided to try one out. To my surprise, it was even better than I would have ever expected. After saving up my pennies, I went to a local guitar shop. Since no one in town had any left, I had to order one. One month and $735.00 (Cdn.) later, it was mine.

I love almost everything about it. The large headstock, pearl pickguard, and the surf green colour gives a nice retro look. I love the beefy sound it throws out and it's overall simplicity. It sounds amazing when playing any punk, punk rock, or emo and any other type of music with a heavier sound.

There's only one thing I wasn't pleased with... the shipping time. It took over a month to get too me (it was hell). Also, don't buy this guitar if you're looking for a versatile axe. It is an amazing machine, but only if punkrock music is what you're into (or other heavy/distorted music).

Although I was uncertain as to what the quality of a Mexican Stratocaster would be, It is exceptionally well made. It's just as good as any American Standard strat.

Good quality, good value, awesome sound. A great buy.

When i saw this guitar for the first time, i started saving, just looking at it makes you wanna play it. The surf green colour, the single seymour duncan with single volume knob, hardtail bridge, this guitar had everything i wanted, on my affinity squier which has lasted me a year i never used the neck or middle pickups, i never used the two tone dials, and i never used the tremolo, so i realised simplicity was my thing, which the tom delonge has. Secondly as i mainly play music like blink and green day which has good punk tone i guessed its the guitar for me.

The only thing i don't like and may change is the vintage tuners, i prefer the standard tuners, but that can be changed at a local store. Not a problem!

Everything was perfect, the finish, the string height, but of course if anything was faulty i'd assume it could be fixed at a local music store.

Great sounding, looking and overall guitar, definate buy for a punk rock player and someone who has found there style, not for beginners as it doesn't offer alot of options. Good price tag for an ultra cool guitar! Great buy!

I got mine about a month ago at guitar center used for 325.00

I like the surf green color, the feel of the guitar is tight. The pickup has a fat ass sound. the 70's headstock is bitchin' the name on the neck plate is slammin. its a cool guitar. I had a neck pickup installed and a switch for cleaner tones, it made the guitar fuckin rightous. its sweet

Not a damn thing. this guitar is awesome

it has a heavy feel. it is made pretty tough, the quality is tight. i think this is a really great guitar for a price that isnt bad.

Hey this guitar is fuckin tight, you all need to go buy this before they are discontinued. it has crazy tone, sweet color a badass pick guard tight ass headstock this is one of the best guitars ive played. sounds awesome unplugged too. fuckin huge sound plugged in.

This is my first electric, got it at Guitar Center for $450.

I like the cool, classic design of Fender guitars. It has nice tuning stability and it is very playable.

I think the frets are too high. It only has one pickup; so the tone is very limited and it cannot get a very clean sound. Also, I don't like the enlarged headstock.

With an aldar body and a rosewood neck, the wood is very good.

I really don't reccomend this unless you like Blink 182 or if all you play is power chords.

I bought this guitar because I am into pop punk and wanted a guitar with a hardtail bridge. My Les Paul is uncomfortable to play and my other strat has a tremolo bridge, so this looked like the right thing for me. I bought it at Guitar World (Sydney, Australia) for A$1600

I like how simple it is. I never use the tone knobs or neck pickup on my other guitars, so why bother having them? I also love the surf green color!

The only thing I don't like about this guitar is a bit of dodgy workmanship - whoever built mine must have just woken up from a siesta because the jackplate does not sit correctly over the cavity. When you look at it from some angles you can see into the cavity. I know this is a tiny problem, but when I'm paying good money for a good-name guitar, I expect a certain level of workmanship. Unfortunately these guitars are very rare in Australia so I can't exchange my one :-(

See above. Overall, pretty good, except for the jack plate.

This guitar definitely sounds awesome through my Marshall TSL100 stack! It is just a shame that poor workmanship has disappointed me a bit with what would otherwise be a perfect guitar for my needs.

I got this great piece of work from MusiciansFriend.com, a great store. I got it because Tom DeLonge's guitar always impressed me, and I really loved it. The guitar only cost me about $510.

I like everything about this guitar, nothing is bad about it. The Duncan Invader gives an awesome sound out. The fact that it doesn't have any tone knobs and just one volume knob makes me like it a lot.

I don't dislike anything about the guitar.

It is built very well. It has held up after what I put it through.

Buy this guitar if you are interested, believe me, you won't be wasting your money.

I got this guitar at Musicians Friend for $500. I got this guitar because I needed a guitar that had fat tone and I didn't want to buy a guitar and then upgrade the pickup.

I like this guitar because it has fat tone with the Seymour Duncan invader. Plus it looks real cool. The color is rich, smooth, and bright. When I picked this guitar up i found that it was easy to play and it sounded great even without an amp which could only mean great amplified sound! It has a vintage look to it with a 70's headstock and vintage tuners and the pearloid pickguard adds depth to the overall look. It comes with a hardtail bridge which also translates into fat tone as well as the pickup. It only has one volume nob and is extremely simple. Rhythms were extremely fat and sound great.

It has a hardtail bridge so it doesn't have that stratocaster tremo twang to it. It was a bit heavy but that makes for good sound. The guitar didn't have a neck pickup which made solos to a lot of songs sound off in tone and they had a certain muddiness to it and quite frankly lacked versatility. Its a bit hard to keep in tune.

It has great quality. Even for a mexican strat. The finish was excellent. The neck is shaped well. The pickup is amazing and i would recommend it as an upgrade to anyone that wants fat tone. What more can I say, its a great looking and sounding guitar.

If you want fat tone and great looks and simplicity all in one then get this guitar. But I the only thing this guitar lacks is versatility so i would only recommend this guitar to people who know exactly what they want and not to a beginner. Beginners should stick with a more versatile guitar until they find what kind of music they really want to play and see the fine tonal aspects of a guitar.

I ordered this guitar from Musicians Friend. I paid $500.

I love everything about it, the surf green color, 70s headstock, pearloid pickguard, Seymore Duncan Invader Humbucker. I also love the price. Its a good price for a great guitar. The sound is awesome.

The only thing i dont like is......well nothing, what can i say? its a great guitar.

The fretboard is rosewood which i prefer over maple. It was made in Mexico which i was apprehensive about at first but it was worth it.

Great guitar. Go buy one.

Alder body (not very dense wood), round stocky, rosewood fingerboard! classic!

UTILIZATION

Comford trs interresting game, the head broad vintage gives a great look!
it is also trslgre as a very dense wood used for t has a more slamming!
and most importantly, there is little electronic trs! just the minimum, one volume!!
if one is looking for a big sound saturated without any concern, you put the volume back, and the amp with a little crunch and c always go!!
on the other hand, jazz is pnalis .... normal! but have little effect on the volume that has a large amplitude trs!

SOUNDS

Then for rock, punk, ska or mtal is the instrument that must be!
refrain from the rest!
too, fau good HP penny just to drool on her! the microphone has an output level trs fort and small 50W amp kind surtou if they suffer as a single dish (HP)!
it takes at least 2 to 4 more to restore the fullness of sound (harmonics powerful forces raisin bread!)
a rule a little crunch on the amp, and always will fai with the guitar!
a distortion? turning the volume knob on the guitar a background
a clean sound? we lower the volume of the guitar!

OVERALL OPINION

Frankly, I utilasi on the fender, but suffers from HP! I pass APRS v test Sunn Model T lamps or Engl Powerball, and has become trs Interestingly, even with rialise ibanez or jackson! good, if you want to upgrade, I suggest a seymou duncan duncan SH6 Distortion for the handle! to replace the SH 8, I would recommend an EMG 81, DiMarzio X2N, Armstrong motherbucker or Seymour Duncan SH 13 dimebucker that will transform your guitar into a weapon of war!
Well if not, the tube amp is rigor as any rock scratches the request, but the sumum! Avoid monogamelle but the amp (an HP) because a high level, your amp may be dplacer by vibrating on the floor! Bavera and sound!

Tom Delonge is one of those awful guitar players that somehow got a deal with Fender because the band took off. Why he got a custom strat, I'll never know. Why he got it with these specs, I'll never know, either. In case you didn't realize it, I'm really not a Blink 182 fan, but this was in my shop, and I decided to see how it was. The guitar features an alder body, a maple neck with a rosewood fretboard, 21 frets with dot inlays, hard tail bridge, one Seymour Duncan Invader and one volume knob.

UTILIZATION

The fretwork on this was average, and it was about on par with what you'd expect to find from Fender around this time. The rosewood was very light in color, and it really needed to be oiled. If you're going to oil fretboards, look into using something like Fret Doctor or the equivalent. Lemon Oil will just dry it out again, and it doesn't really penetrate like Fret Doctor does. The hard tail on this actually makes this guitar not sound like a normal strat. You lose that resonance chamber and that extra reverb. It's something that a few people like, but if you're a standard strat guy, you might not like it. I know Eric Clapton didn't like the hard tail bridges on his prototype models.

SOUNDS

The guitar only has one pickup, and it's the Seymour Duncan Invader. This pickup is super high output, and it has tons of bass. The guitar itself didn't really resonate quite that much, and the Invader helped pick up the slack in the output department. You could slam the front end of an amp and start playing death metal with this, and I'm not really sure how Tom was able to play his pop/punk stuff in Blink 182 with this guitar. Like I said, it's very high output, and it's far from my first choice when it comes to his genre of music. The lack of versatility in this guitar is very disappointing, and the one tone it does do, it's not even that great of a tone.

OVERALL OPINION

If you're looking for a versatile guitar, I recommend looking elsewhere. The one pickup configuration with one of the worst Duncans ever made makes this guitar one worth avoiding unless you're a big Blink 182 fan. The rest of the guitar is average, and nothing about this makes me want to run out and buy it. You're much better off buying an HSS strat and getting the extra versatility out of it instead of getting one of these.

I have tried many scratching in these prices and the I can tell you that there is a huge difference with ur scratching the same price and you tried to understand all at once
