The Fender Stratocaster has got to be the best guitar that is ever been built. I know I'm biased but I just love feel and pretty much everything about this guitar is just fantastic. I'm a big fan of Gibson Les Paul's, Fender telecasters, Charvel guitars, and a host of many other guitar shapes but overall nothing says rock 'n roll like the Fender Stratocaster guitar. Although I wish I could own one of each of those guitars if I had the choice and got to choose between one guitar tone for eternity. It would probably be the Fender Stratocaster. Luckily I ca own more than one so I do own one each of those guitars.

SOUNDS

I primarily like the tone of these guitars with the nice high gain amplifier of some kind. You can get some great singing sustain and fantastic tones for pretty much any style of music. With single coil pickups you won't get a beefy thick tone as you would with a humbucker pickup but you can't get a nice solid tone for pretty much any style of music. I love the combination of wood in these guitars because the alder wood and maple wood is just a great match. I know there's a lot of great combinations of woods out there but for me and my ears, I just prefer the alder and maple wood combination.

The voicing of it matches the style of music that I play in primarily to style that I played as well. Most my guitar players that I look up to like Eddie Van Halen or Nuno Bettencourt all use alder wood. Even though Eddie has switched to a basswood which his newer guitars have but the guitar tone that I primarily like which was his original time was for my alder body. It's a great combination for those who want a screaming mix of good mid range as well as a good balance between the bass and high frequencies.

OVERALL OPINION

These guitars you can find pretty much anywhere and everywhere guitar instruments are sold. You can find them on the used and classified section is pretty much any online forum or any online classified section. These are very frequented guitars and they're highly saturated in the industry so finding one won't take you very long. I suggest trying out a few in finding out which balance and field and next shape matches your musical expression.
