UTILIZATION

The handle is very nice, I can not find it too heavy, the shape is ideal, and access to acute is simple (Start oblige!)

My guitar is perfect for my style (rock), I play a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe 40W and Boss pedals. I love to sound pretty dirty

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for 6 years, this is my first guitar because it belongs to my father first. This skyscraper is older than me (I of 1997). What I like most is: EVERYTHING! I find it perfect, and I will try to keep my life!

US-made, mine had a rosewood fingerboard and a red rose unusual and very friendly.

Offered by my wife for my 30th birthday, this guitar was stolen during a burglary.
I have used it extensively for over 10 years.
I wish the guys who have stolen me to rot in hell forever.

UTILIZATION

This handle is on top. As bcp Strats but a tad wider, which suits me.
Ergonomics and weight are fairly standard, such as access to acute.
The sound is extraordinary. Literally: it can not find on any strat ...
The 5 positions deliver as many sounds known architects of our ears. SRV blues to funk to 1 in 4 of the 80, passing through many other universes. Saturations are far from being ridiculous in the bridge position, which is pretty rare with the single .... And all without a breath, obviously. "Too clean" some will say. For my part, I leave the buzz and keeps the vamp.

I recently, true. I spent gst to restore it, this guitar had been stored in a universe not conducive to successful aging and above all, was no longer played.

For the price I paid and given its rarity (2500 ex. Aaniversary 50th series), I'm damn happy!

Guitar U.S. and has a lot of characteristics with American Standard Stratocaster .... BUT with all the better (violin, microphone, easel, mechanical)! Lace Sensors Pickups types of Gold, mechanical self-locking, wilkinson bridge ... Mine dates from 1988 or 1989.

OVERALL OPINION

I have a lot of scratching my house and I saw him pass! One thing is for sure is that I can compare models Fender Stratocaster Start Plus with the way I've just switch from one to another! Bin and the finding is instructive because the two guitars are actually very different ... The Start Plus seems much more "solid", better worked (at the time of manufacture?) Was less like a toy ... Sound level I am surprised, I was a little apprehensive about the Lace Sensors but they do a great job, while keeping silent mind strata that is dear to us! In short, a great guitar for the price (which incidentally is cheaper than a new strat classic)!

UTILIZATION

I bought this guitar in 1989 c'tait my first real guitar.
I have an entire economy does to acquire this jewelry without ever having to try. (My very Premire an Aria Pro 2).
since I never get tired of a standard round of pleasure and comfort, the fabulous lace sensor pallet and distinctive sound on each position.
the AD: Mechanical Sperzel, the nut rolls into a perfect agreement. not to mention the quick change a string.

In short, this guitar is a whole slice of life guitar, learning today.
For anything I do not spare.

I bought a few months ago another giant a PRS CE 24 10-25TH top.
Beautiful, classy violin
But I have my listed on my Stratocaster + is more than a tool.

A Super Super Guitar.

Prs is my beautiful, very beautiful but I still not enough as VCU with strat which is really an extension of my fingers when I play.

The Strat Plus was like an American Standard Strat plus some extra features. So, like the American Standard, it had three single coil pickups, a five-way selector switch, one volume knob, two tone knobs, and a choice of maple or rosewood fretboard (mine is maple).

The Plus had the following upgrades: ultra-low-noise Lace Sensor pickups, a rolling nut, locking tuners, a Hipshot Tremsetter. With the exception of the pickups, all the upgrades are meant to help the guitar stay in tune better.

UTILIZATION

I love this guitar! I bought it new in 1992 and it's been my main guitar since. I've tried a couple of vintage Strats, a couple of really nice custom shop ones, and a few boutique copies of vintage Strats that I like better. All of these were three to four times the cost of this one when new (used they continue to go for a lot less). In terms of playability and sound quality I have never encountered a non-custom shop Strat manufactured by Fender after 1975 that I liked as much or more. I've also seen many custom shop models selling for as much as $3K which I did not like nearly as much.

I should also say that the older Strat Plus models came with a roller nut that didn't do its job right. Fender sells a replacement nut for these older ones, and this replacement is easy to do and makes a big difference in terms of tone and feel.

SOUNDS

People sometimes complain about Lace Sensors being lifeless or cold, but I really don't see it that way. The Lace Sensors have a transparency that lets the sound of the strings, the wood, and your fingers come through even when using lots of effects. If they sound lifeless to you, maybe it's your playing that lacks life.

I admit there's something pretty special about the pickups Fender was putting in Strats in the years around 1970, and someday I might put a set of custom shop pickups in this guitar, but I don't feel any real need right now. The Sensors give great Strat tone, they sound better than most current production Fender pickups, and they have as much personality as my technique. I don't think it's a flaw that they don't have more personality than my technique.

OVERALL OPINION

If you want to buy a newer (post-CBS) Strat, I would recommend the Strat Plus or a custom shop model. If you go with the Strat Plus you will have money left over to buy a decent amp.

One last thing, this may matter more to some than to others, but, as you probably know, Fender has usually painted their guitars whatever colors cars were being painted at the same time, and as you probably also know, cars in the early 1990s were often really really ugly. It was the era of the metallic-neon-flash. Fenders from this era can thus be pretty ugly, but I find the sound and playability to be top notch.
