Basswood body
handle: type Wizard II Maple, 24 frets with white binding around the neck (not around the head)
Pickups: 2 doubles is a simple (switch 5 positions)
1 volume and 1 tone
Vibrato in lisence Floyd blah blah blah ...

UTILIZATION

The handle is perfect: end (not too), flat, fast and comfortable. For me, one of the best ever in measurements.
Access to treble is super easy thanks to the heel to reduce min. and rounded.
The body is comfortable and the weight average.
Gripe: the stem of the vibrato has a few games in its line of fixation. What makes the practice of "triple axel back" to less accurate Floyd. This small change was flat on the RG-370DX is equipped with the Edge III tremolo.

SOUNDS

I mainly play metal and this guitar is perfect for that.
I changed the microphone next to a bridge DiMarzio Super Distortion (high output and fat) because the original was a bit of law to my taste. Other microphones are good for a wide range of clean sounds. The double-sided handle is also nice distortion for solos.
The wood of this guitar is made less in the sound on high-end guitars. Therefore he must be sticking microphones that can do the job alone.
Once done, it sounds hell ...!

OVERALL OPINION

I have 4 years.
The finish is very good (Ibanez is really good at it!) I have seen guitars mid-high range in other brands that were less well finished.
Frankly, for the price you get a guitar that has all the characteristics required for a metal guitar with a great finish and great sound (provided you stick to the microphone for you).
I own several guitars (some much more expensive!) And yet this small RG-270DX has not blush before her friends more expensive option.
To consume without moderation Metal beginners ... and knowledgeable ('s enough to be outdone!)
