« Excellent quality / price ratio »

Value For Money : Excellent
Already indicated from every angle, I will not give one layer. I note however that after long hours of poking around on the internet, it's really the only amp in its price range to be as complete with two channels, an effects loop (series), a boost and reverb.

The general appearance of the creature is quite flattering front, so I was pleasantly surprised. Rear was a bit like it is papy who nailed the hammer 3 wood boards (yes, 265 €, this is not the kevlar) but overall is still cohesive and holds the road.

The EQ (bass, mid, treble and presence) and the boost are common to the two channels.

The amp is very flexible to the home of cab and other external HP (4, 8 and 16ohms) a real plus.

The knobs, switches and connectors seem solid and inspire confidence.

The ability to switch from triode pentode can bring a lot of nuances to his game

Note, the quality of the provided footswitch, really solid and reliable (I expected the plastic crap)

UTILIZATION

I am equipped with a jet jca20h city whose sound and quality are very convincing, but the abscence of a loop and clean me uncomfortable rather quickly.

I first turned to a hot rod that longer met my expectations in terms of equipment. After the test, it was the sound I wanted but the power and the abscence of my master really a problem.

So, I fall on the V22 and like everyone else, I had eyes that shine when they saw the price, expecting to see the reincarnation of god the father, but still feeling the swindle.

After Éclusé forums, so I committed the ultimate sin, ordered on the internet (but refundable for 30 days, I am not completely con either).

Unpacking and first start, my little feverish fingers remove the standby, and surprise, everything works as what it can happen :)

Plaisenterie truce, the manual is useless as long as it is known to use an amp. The settings are effective at equalizing and presence. With my standard strat, I very quickly found my sound. The master is very effective and can play at low volume.

SOUNDS

the amp is quite what I expected. The clean is really great, fairly neutral but beautiful and well balanced. Not bad in the spirit Hot Rod (and I mean in spirit).

In triode, with master volume and 7, it starts to twist gently mode "under the bridge" to give you an idea. To stay "real clean" output level equivalent on-balance pentode mode (switch on the rear) and the master down, roll my chicken.

The boost common to two channels, swells a little mids, but send over 10 db in the bowl. It could be quite useful for bringing out a solo in the mix. I say "might" because the footswitch enables / disables the reverb but not the boost, so nay to use live. But I will forgive this youthful willingly, knowing qu'enclenché continuously, it brings out a sound somewhat more Marshallian of the beast.

The lead channel calibrated to 2 or 3 gain with volume Tacquet resumes in the continuation of the clean channel pushed to the limit. It allows blueser, redhotchilipepperiser, ledzepiser, with a distortion clean enough but rather flat and lacking a bit of profondeur.c is not bad, but not to the heuteur clean.

Nay, to return clean channel which I glue a good old big muff of yesteryear, and there is the big scoop! The cash amp without the pedal and spring mouffeter unflinchingly serious. It starts to drool and be ugly in the last quarter of the race of the master (in pentode), but we already had time to explode three or four windows before they get there.

It is this fact, we now glue a small delay in the loop, which appears both in clean distortion, it is very clean.

Live or in the loop, the receiver welcomes the pedals very well, a real plus

OVERALL OPINION

In conclusion and with a very small drop (I did that for two days and have played about 8 hours on it) I am completely satisfied with my purchase.

That is clear, I put the V22 high marks for its quality / price ratio. The sounds are very good, the range of connection and the very versatile. One feels that apart from the beautiful facade, the amp does not have the strength and finishing a AC15 or a hot rod, and one suspects that the components installed are not the Holy Grail of the world of amplification.

Since I do mostly répets, I do not particularly like shooter in my amps or drop them, that it costs nine times less than 2 hot rod of Cygnus, it is guaranteed for 3 years and replaced with a new one if something goes wrong, that it sounds really good and is super full GGGOOOOOOOO.
