You also had a master volume control which was new during this time that Marshall was rounding off the JMP amplifier series. You also had a similar EQ section of presence, bass, middle, and treble.
UTILIZATION
This amp is very easy to dial in. If you have spent anytime with a Marshall amp before than you can easily figure this amp out. You have a presence, bass, middle, and treble,e and well as a gain and master volumes controls Set the gain to your liking and the master to your overall volume level. The eqing will change from speakers to speakers and cabs to cabs as well as using different guitars so let your ears be the judge.
SOUNDS
The tone of this is a very classic Marshall sounding tone. Since this is 50 watt. You really only get 3 db less then you did with the hundred watt amplifier. However, you get less of the headroom than the hundred watt amplifier which in turn would give you a quicker overdrive break up any spongier feel in the power section. Many recording artist used to 50 watt model over the hundred watt because you were able to dial in that nice spongy tone with a little bit easier and quicker power to break up.
This amp sounds very good when you modify it to get extremely high gain distortion tones. Many users during 80s would modify these amps to get their recording and touring amplifier needs met. Even today maybe guitar players will take these old original Marshall amps from the 70s and early 80s and get them modified by some of the best Marshall amp modifiers in the business.
OVERALL OPINION
Many of these amps can be found for just about $1000 on the used market and in the classified section of some forums. They aren't hard very hard to find as Marshall really saturated the market back in those days with these amplifiers. I highly recommend this amplifier if you're looking for a classic Marshall tone and I would highly recommend this amplifier if you want to get a modern Marshall tone. but it will cost you between $400 and $700 extra to get this amplifier modded by someone who is skilled enough to do that.

That's pretty much all you need to know in order to operate the Master Model 50W MKII Lead, so there's no need for a manual.
SOUNDS
The sound of the Marshall JMP Master Model 50W MKII Lead is pretty much everything you'd hope for in a Marshall amplifier. While the name would lead you to believe that this is only for playing lead guitar parts, it's certainly useful no matter what type of guitar parts you'd be playing. It has an incredibly thick sound that's capable of getting that super heavy distortion that you've heard before on so many different rock records. It's definitely suited best for lead guitar parts and solos were you'd want a singing lead part with body and crunch, but it's simply a great guitar head across the board...
OVERALL OPINION
You couldn't possibly go wrong with the Marshall JMP Master Model 50W MKII Lead if you're looking for that huge rock distortion guitar sound. There's enough room to play around that it's a versatile amp, but in general it sticks to what it does well. I don't know what year this amp was made, but it's definitely a vintage amp and has the sort of sound to match. This is truly a killer sounding amp head...

> Between HIGH: 200% what I wanted. THE ACDC with its stunning, natural crunch that is keeping a big clear. Compare a head latest issue (JCM2000) it has far less ability and JCM2000 dlivre more beautiful sound in a much broader palette. BUT LAAAAAAAaaaa big diffrence is the time when it is connected in groups. The JMP through the mix of through and a potato and a dlivre prsence incredible. Difficult to explain.

Little info by the way, the sound will be trs diffrent a cab from another. I play this amp on and on G12T75 G12M Greenback and the diffrence is obvious! The G12T75, more powerful than GrennBack, dlivrent a more garish, more aggressive. APRS dpend gots any course (personally, although Aduls right now, I do not like the V30, too violent to top medium).
Personally, I use a TS9 which increases the gain level while the Personal concervant of this wonderful craft and an MXR micro-amp used to give a bit more attack. The whole gives a rsultat TERRIBLE!
I do not use other effects, I think adnaturerait sound.
OVERALL OPINION
I use it for 6 months and ending for the more time passes, the more I love it! I also possde combo Engl Thender 50 and the enjoyment is in the JMP del It's not a versatile amp trs but no matter! Prfre I have a clean and beautiful as her 10 ways!
APRS you ... for me it's seen it all!
