Problems with Alesis io2 and cubase sx3

Hi, just wondering if anyone can help me out. I bought a io2 about 3 weeks ago and i can only get the audio to work, my midi doesn't work and even the click has stopped working. I can record the midi and the levels move up and down, but theirs no sound coming out. I thought it might have been the io2 but, i've been back to the shop and changed it. I've changed all the settings to io2, i just don't know what to do next, it's getting really frustrating.
I'll be really grateful for any help.

Did you find your solution? Can you share your buffer/buffersize settings? I'm having latency problems when using VST's.

This happened exactly to me, it records but does not come out of computer speakers, so i disabled my onboard soundcard and bought some headphones and speakers to plug directly into the interface as it acts as an external soundcard.
