Topic Low output on Clarett headphones?
Hi Folks,

I've bounced this back and forth to Focusrite, and they went and told me to go buy a headphone amp. So, after hearing this from them, I need some advice. I've been using a pair of Beyer DT880s 600Ohm cans for several years, several interfaces, and even through the lowly headphone outputs of various e-drum kit modules and guitar processors without a problem. However, I cannot get the output on either of the Clarett's headphone ports to even provide a signal louder than the sticks hitting pads on my kit.

I returned everything to factory settings, and my connections are stupid-simple:

E-drum kit on rear inputs 5-6, guitar rig on inputs 7-8. Monitor outputs 1-2 to powered monitors, and that's it. I've tried head outs 1 and 2, with the same attenuated results.

Is the headphone circuit on this interface really that inadequate?

Thanks!
Paul

Hi all! I wanna ask if the Focusrite Clarett 2pre can drive a pair of Sennheiser HD600 cans? The technical support says yes but i wanna make sure before i buy the money, any experience?
