Blue Cat launches a virtual patchbay for plug-ins
Blue Cat’s PatchWork allows for hosting and manage up to 64 plug-ins in a single instance in your DAW on Mac and PC.
PatchWork is a VST, AU, AAX, RTAS and DirectX plug-in for Mac OS X and Windows. The plug-in allows for chaining effects in series or creating up to 8 parallel chains that can be activated separately. With PatchWork, you only need a single bus in your DAW to process a track with multiple virtual effects and / or instruments and you can save the settings as presets.
Each plug-in slot includes controls for latency compensation, preset management, Undo/redo and gives the ability to bypass each plug-in. Input and output meters allows for signal monitoring for each inserted plug-in.
PatchWork is available as a virtual instrument or effect and can be inserted into any track type with up to 8 audio channels.
