TopicPosted on 11/25/2014 at 15:21:54question on how to best use Slate VCC
Hello,
Just wondering for others who use the vcc: do you put an instance of the vcc on your busses? I currently have it placed on each individual drum channel and was wondering if it would be redundant to put it on the bus as well, or is the best way to use the vcc by putting it on ever single channel INCLUDING busses, auxes, etc?
thanks in advance

Best part of producing music with your home studio is you can experiment. Whether it sounds redundant or not shouldn't matter. Whether it sounds better or worse after experimenting is all that matters.
Choose any setup that gives you the sound you're after. hope that helps
I agree with LuckyPup about the importance of experimenting. I have VCC, and what I typically do is to put an instance of the plug-in in the first insert slot on every track, but as I recall, Slate says that it also works well from the last slot. I'll also put an instance on any subgroup aux channels. I always use the group function in VCC so that all the instances of the plug-in are set the same.
