well built mixer

Soundcraft 400BPublished on 11/01/11 at 14:19
I recently used the SoundCraft 400B and I cant believe how loud and clean it is. I am running B1520 speakers and I am very impressed with Behringer. I have owned Yamaha speakers in the past, and they dont even come close to sounding as good as this system. I was concerned about buying powered mixers because some have a tendency to over heat. I hope this Class-D feature will keep the show going.

UTILIZATION

Manual is extrememly easy to understand, all the basic functions are easy to navigate and use.

SOUNDS

Analog effect presets such as delay, chorus, and reverb. Apply them to any channel, as well as to the monitors and main output. In case you're pulling double duty as sound engineer and performer, the FX processor features a footswitch jack for remote on/off. Of course, if you have treasured outboard gear you've grown attached to, sound craft 400B can integrate them into the mix while leaving out the built-in FX processor. started leaving the bigger mixer and amps at home. this mixer/amp can handle small to medium rooms, i add 1 stereo power amp to run subs/monitors and where all set. of course if bands require more than 12 xlr inputs i bring out the big mixer and use the SoundCraft 400B for monitors and it does a great job. its well worth the money and more. if you compare it to Yamaha or peavey (12 xlr)its like half the price and sounds as good or better

OVERALL OPINION

Overall, this mixer has everything you need to get the job done. Built like a tank. From what I have seen for powered mixers on the market this has them all beat especially for the money, power and features. I also own a Yamaha EMX512SC powered series, this blows it out of the water. Right now the SoundCraft 400B is better priced, can't say enough about this board for the money and quality.

Hi

I'm looking for information about the secondhand price of this mixer in 2008.

If orchestras still use this mixing desk for live performances I would like to know about the possible modifications to match the standards of 2008.

Regarding the sound I know the mixer has a good sound!

Thank you!

P'tit monster is a way you like them, 60kg in its flight case, I dviss back up the home.
I have the 16 tracks + 4 subsets.
For every: trim, slecteur between micro o-line (no breath pramps of quality), qualisation acute upper and lower mdium (paramtriques), bass, 4 dparts effects including two configurable pre-fader. on the other hand, there is no Q on mdiums.
Increments between line jack 6.5, XLR mic, jack insert. Attention on the old console, the hot spot and cold spot are inverss over the current standard.
VU meters for the two main channels by 1 + subset, six in total.

Single point not practical connections across rear, very accessible. When you see the size of the beast, we understand it is not always ais go traffic the rear.

UTILIZATION

Once you know how a console, a hand is taken as anything. The knobs are sturdy, good quality faders and is an important race, in short, RAS, it's simple and sturdy.

SOUNDS

"Transparent" is not the term I will use for this console. On the contrary it is much trs type and Global Warming sound, even without qualisation. But this color is beautiful. I use it for the classical string instruments mainly, and the final rendering is trs beautiful, round, warm.
I t REALLY surprised that the effects can be obtained simply by using the qualisation.

OVERALL OPINION

Use the past two months of intensive Manir. His finest particularity is the sound.
Previously I had a Behringer (we talking about the same CATEGORY), I tried a TASCAM 2408 (it was cold and wind).
In short, my 400B in 30 years I still have!
