Thread HI I NEED HELP OR THE LAPTOP GETS IT

Hi all my name is Eddy from ireland.

I bought a HP Pavilion zd 8000 about 8months ago and to this date i cant get it to record without picking up glitches and pops.

my set up is as follows.

As i said i have the HP Pavilion zd 8000 the system information is

Microsoft Windows xp
Home Edition
version 2002
Service pack 2

Intel(R)
Pentium (R) 4 CPU 3.ooGHz
2.99 GHz,1.00 GB of RAM.

I have a Tascam US-122 hooked up to it running Cubas LE.

Both Laptop and Tascam unit are talking and recording fine with Cubase.

But when I play Back the Audio I get glitchs.


Can someone please help me.

The laptop cost €1,500.

The real thing that is killing me is that my mate has bought a cheap dell laptop €300 and is running the Tascam US-122 and Cubase fine with no problems so you can imagine how pissed i am.


Please can someone tell me what to do or the laptop is going out th nearest window.
