I had a USB interface (Ua 25) which gave me much concern over power parasite noises. I wanted a Firewire interface.

The features are
- Audio / MIDI Interface Firewire
- 10 inputs and 8 outputs
- Integrated mixer controllable via software or front panel button (more sports)
My config (PC doublecoeur 27 IU, 2.7 MHertz, 3 GB Ram, Windows XP).

UTILIZATION

With regard to the installation. I lost a lot of time (one day) with drivers south of the map that were well established but inactive. It was enough to reactivate them for everything to work without worry. I think this problem is more related to a conflict with the drivers for the old card.

The manual does not explain this. It is also worth noting that it is in English and French translations on the CD Rom match the other interface of the same brand. Certainly the software parts are the same but hey at that price a little effort would be desirable. You can find a pdf manual in French on the net now (phew).

GETTING STARTED

For now, I have had no problems although I have not pushed the machines to the limit.

The interface coming out there was no update to my knowledge.

At lag, I'm between 5 and 10ms as well say nothing.

The effects are very powerful and therefore complicated to implement (in the sense that it must already have knowledge and know what results we want to happen). There is no ready made presets to apply. You have to establish them.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for a few days. It remains to be seen in use.

I like the solid and reassuring to the device. The quality of the audio converters. The absence of unwanted breath and hum in my recordings. The reserve power at the preamp.
The quality of the effects that run on DSP interface and do not consume CPU computer (Reverb (5 modes), vintage compressor and compressor, equalizer).
The function table mix is really a plus. You can prepare a mix of scene (in my case three microphones, an electric guitar, an electric guitar amp simulator BAR). Preset input effects, you quietly and Keep it all in memory. Once on the scene you rewire everything the same way. You can adjust some general parameters, connect the HP assets directly in the interface and that's it. It's great for the small room under the corner to the Zenith of Paris but everyone does or can.

The value for money seems excellent. I think we can do a real work of a professional with this tool.

For me the choice I would do without hesitation. I do not necessarily recommend this type of product for beginners. The handling requests to have some knowledge especially for the party mix.

I do not like is the instructions in English.
