1 Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 (2nd Generation)
Hello,

I'm NOT currently using my Scarlett for recording purposes. I only use it for playing bass along with my music collection (plug bass into quarter inch, usb out to PC computer, headphones, play along to itunes or Youtube), to learn cover songs.

If there are two of us (bass and guitar), can we both plug into 2i2, and have the sound go out through studio style speakers (for cover song learning)?

I'm contemplating upgrading to the 3rd generation, so I can plug my ipad in to the scarlett (not need the PC), and perform the same actions as above. Is this the best way to create a mobile practice setup for two people? Is there a "better" way to do it?
