So, I recently bought a Focusrite Solo interface. I have it hooked up to my Behringer XM8500. The problem that I am having is that I have to max out the sensitivity on the interface for it to be picked up by Direct Monitor and Audacity and any other thing I try to use. Therefore it is extremely sensitive, the mic being far away you can still hear minimal things. I tried going on Windows and lowering the sensitivity but it doesn't work. Any help?
Thanks

Hi Unitus,
I'm afraid I'm not sure what you mean by 'sensitivity'?
If you're referring to the gain controls on the front of the unit, then these should be set to a level whereby the gain halos are metering green when you're speaking/singing into the Mic. At this level, if you find that you're picking up other environmental noise at this level, then this will mean either that your Mic is too sensitive for the type of recording you're doing, you're environment is too noisy, or a combination of the above.
