When I turn my monitors on, who are connected to the focusrite 18i8 gen2 on the monitor outputs by balanced audio cables, the midi light blinks once ? Why is this, is this normal behavior ? It seems like it's only the RIGHT monitor that causes this blink.
If the focusrite does this to show the monitor is on, how is this electrically even possible ? Both monitors are only connected by a balanced audio cable each.
+ it doesn't do this all the time.

Also when I unplug a cable from one of the monitor outputs, the usb light goes blank for a sec ? (same thing, this doesn't happen always but most of the time)
Is my device faulty ?
I even had it happen that when I unplugged one of the monitor cables, the usb light went completely blank ? I had to reboot the device.
Why is this happening ?
Do you think my monitors are causing a short, and should I exchange the focusrite for a new one ?
