Hello all!
(Image of computer specs attached) I recently replaced my old firewire recording interface with a focusrite usb 6i6 and installed the latest drivers, but all audio - whether through the interface or the onboard audio card, is disrupted by clicks and pops. This is noticeably worse when played through the USB device, though. The Latency Monitor app (LatencyMon) indicates that USBport.sys is the offending driver causing the latency. At times it will run perfectly well for just minutes before having issues again. Attempts to disable any non-essential device in device manager (on-board soundcard, networking, etc.) yields no change, and I've uninstalled all usb devices and selected to delete drivers through device manager, as well. Strangely, even unplugging each usb device one-by-one doesn't change the latency issue as reported by the Latency Monitor application, and still results in clicks, pops, and stuttering caused by the USBport.sys driver. I've used Driver Booster to ensure that all my drivers are up-to-date, and I've uninstalled and reinstalled the most recent driver from the manufacturer. Does anyone have any ideas to try next? Thanks in advance for any advice you may be able to give!
