Thread Bad Buzz (ground?) when Connecting XLR to Digitech Pedal Processor RP-355

When I connect the XLR balanced outputs from a Digitech RP-355 Modeling Guitar Processor to the input XLR of my Focusrite 2i4, I get what sounds like a ground or short buzz. Not sure why. Regular microphone XLR connections are fine as well as instrument in's.
