G20H30 « WAAAOOUUUHHH!! »
Published on 12/30/10 at 10:03Boost pedal up to + 20 dB. Small in size (not to displease the rack!) But huge in sound! Analog technology, no lamp.
If you open the pedal, there are two switches inside (bass boost - and a bright boost - 2) to color the sound, "equalize" your sauce ... Entries in and out jacks for guitars. Ability to power by a battery or transformer in 9 or 18 volts.
PS: not yet tried, but it seems that the power supply at 18 volts gives it more dynamic and precision, to see ...
UTILIZATION
How to tell? is extremely technical ... You have a knob, you turn and it boosts the sound! Beyond 12 h the crunch sound depending on the attack. In short, pushing the max you can do pretty arpeggios and a chord if you hog it will cruncher, this gem responds to the attack, génialissime!
attention both esgourdes, if you have a powerful enough amp (as I type Rockerverb 50), I advise not to make substantive testing initially but gradually the amount knob the pedal or you will destroy you leaves !
SOUND QUALITY
Bon ben, you're nice to have € 4000 of gear in the ass when that little box of 3 x 9 cm (yes, really!) Is depressed did you feel that your serious stuff is bogus! Tested in store on Mesa Boogie Triple Rectifier (head / body) + Gibson = same goes for the seller of the store!
This little pedal enhances the sound so incredible and gives your amp a totally different dimension. In clean it enriches, boosts, makes cruncher your sound and distortion it allows you to stand out epic solos or rhythm crazy! simply amazing! it's much better in person than the videos seen on youtube!
OVERALL OPINION
Bought yesterday, basically I wanted a preamp pedal that allows me to boost a little "gain" from my clean to crunch. I would not say it's the pedal made for this, "given that it also amplifies the volume, but once the settings and testing done, it draws much more than that really since I use the blow for booster in my solos and rhythm parts disto that crunchent sublimely!
