1 Help to replace Avid DIGI003 Console AI
Hi,

I have a home-studio with the following current setup;

Avid Digidesign 003 Audio Interface
Golden Age Premier PreQ-73 mic preamp
AKG C314 Mic
Shure SM58 Mic
Roland ep7 Mother Keyboard
Avid Pro Tools 12 DAW

I mainly do a lot of voice-over work (audiobooks, audioguides, web promo spots, e-learning courses, etc...) and small music pre-production; electric/acoustic and bass guitars thru the GAP PREQ-78 conencted to a balanced input of the Digi003 and using the Roland mother keyboard for Vi's (Kontakt, Omnisphere, Superior Drummer,etc...) thru MIDI. I almost never record more then one instrument at the time

My recently updated PC has Intel i7-3820@3,60, 32Gb Ram, 2x1Tb SSD disks(one for system one for recording)and 3 hdd disks for samples and backups, Fractal R6 Case, Be Quiet Dark Rock Pro 4 CPU Cooler and Sea Sonic SSR-650TR Ultra pover supply.

The Golden Age Premier PreQ-73 recent addon made it clear the deficienty of the pres of the Digi003 and also some electrical "noise" issues it seems to have.

I would most appreciate if you could help me as i'm searchign for a new AI to replace teh Avid DIGI003.

So far and within my limited budget i came up with this list;

ZOOM UAC-8
MOTU 8 Pre USB
MOTU UltraLite-mk4
Arturia AudioFuse
Focusrite Clarett 4Pre USB
PreSonus Studio 1824c

And i'm also curious about the RME Fireface UC and UCX

Any feedback/suggestions/advices would be most appreciated.
