annoying hum with krk rp6 monitors please help!!

Topic annoying hum with krk rp6 monitors please help!!
hey guys can anybody plz help me i have just bought some krk rp6 monitors and i need to connect them to my tascam us 122l i connected the rca line outs of the tascam to the rca unbalanced input of the monitors and there is a really loud hum when i switch them on am i doing something wrong or is there a better way to connect everyting together?

Possibly a Radio Shack ground loop isolator would help. First try turning on the monitors with no cables plugged in. If they still hum they may be defective OR you may have horrible interference problems. If they are quiet get the isolator.
