Thread Advice Needed for Studio Power Amp

We are currently in the beginning stages of setting up a studio. We have a pair of Behringer 2031P near field monitors (55 Hz - 21 kHz), which is currently powered by a power amp we have used in Live situations. As you can probably imagine, there is excessive noise coming from the amp. So, I am looking for a very quiet amp. It does not have to be enormously powerful. Just enough to boost the signal through the board (KORG D16XD), then through the speakers. Would a standard home stereo ampo work, or, would you recommend an amp more suited for a studio environment?
