Well I give my opinion since I began to master the craft about, it's really a good deal. To work with headphones at home and get a quick result, it works well.
Well, too bad there are not more tracks, it lacks some guitar effects (flanger), and there is the breath at times (maybe not completely due to the machine but more a Compressor set mode ugly buffalo asthma).
That said I could even take a battery very well with a single Shure SM58 planted on a microphone stand at 1m from the battery and connected to the D4. The knobs are nice and the editing mode MP2 can learn to juggle and mix volumes and stereo position of the instruments (the guitar good, right or left? The drums and bass, together or ?...), across what I personally find quite fun, while sending the direct MP2 on the computer by USB cable. Hop, missing a small MP3 conversion software and you can run your sound to all your friends.

Completely positive opinion

I've had 1.5 years. I think it's top overall, especially the sound quality issue.
The register of default, I will say that the virtual tracks are an artifact of little use. They are unusable to the extent they do not cost be the same time as the others. It's just a storage functionality. So there's only 4 tracks in Ralite coutables simultanment. Of course you can as and mastered by recording multiple tracks on top of one another, but each of these choices is DEFINITIONS. If you have the desire to develop compounds lches great, I use the D4 Consiel to save your tracks and extract them one by one in MP2 to make a final edit in Cubase. J used both techniques for the online component to my blog.

You will see that there really is a way to get sound quality. All effects are those of utiliss D4.

Excellent price quality ratio. I would do without this choice hsiter.

The main points interressants not content: sound quality, offers possibilities (copy, denouncement, etc. Non-destructive!), Number of tracks (4 and 8 virtual tural in each) sotckage on compact flash (thank you 21st century), simplicity of use (if only one has the manual in french), ergonomics, output connectors (USB and RCA ... that must be more?) and j in the process ...
However I find the game simulation for guitar and totally mediocre effect in genral ... know you make good sound before entering the boiboite.

I had the opportunity to try the BOSS BR-8 which does not fit into the pocket studio CATEGORY course, but its operation is similar to that of D4. Of course the boss is much more complete. But more complex so ... and for my little home studio I find the most effective D4.

Less than 200 Euros al foreign ... yes I am satisfied with the report qualitprix.

YES I do it again this election!

I bought 2 years ago, my first recordings for beginners.
When there is nothing known before this little device is Excellent, but quickly becomes limited.
There are 4 real track, the other virtual tracks are unusable because the device is too complex to used the more it can not be mix or be read to the whole.
The card memory is limited (you can always buy another suprieur), we quickly saturated with tracks and mixes.
It includes a number of effects similar to other classic aircraft of the same type, but most are not usable, except for hard rock.
These effects are of the same customizable.
During the final mix, the file is MP2 (uncompressed!) You must convert it to WMA or MP3 for playback on your home equipment.
The internal microphone is Excellent! trs is amazing!
It has connections to put on your amp, and for a headphone.

Expect all the same to you take the head to find the used!
The price is EXAGRES, let it down!
Compared to the competitor is the best KorgD4

I've had one month, and I dreamed for 10 years. Within minutes, all the little songs that I composed on my acoustic guitar has become pieces in their own right. I even had to buy a bass to do well. The qualities: ease of use, sounds (I like the simulation of Vox AC30). For now the only flaw I found is that by default Selected track 1 is, and I often forget to disable it. I found it to € 255 with speakers, unbeatable value for money. The USB connection is perfect with the audacity Mp3 is quickly done well. I almost forgot the only important limitation (which will force me to buy a drum machine): the rhythm section does not "deal" is the same pace and same tempo for the entire song.

After 2 years of use, I'm still very happy, but I found some problems:
- Details on the case fade with time, not easy to sell ...
- From time to time, without explanation, the line-guitar does not work, then works again. I found nothing in the record or on the web to solve ...

I continue to think well, and I think the previous reviews on the use are a bit exaggerated.

I've had it one month, but dreamed about it for 10 years. In a couple of minutes all the tunes I wrote with my acoustic guitar became real songs. I even bought a bass guitar to round them off. Pros: ease of use, sound (I love the Vox AC30 simulation). For the time being, the only con is that the first track is selected by default and I always forget to deactivate it. Unbeatable value for money. The USB connector is great: you can quickly create an MP3 file with Audacity. Only major drawback (because of which I'll have to buy a drum machine): the rhythm section doesn't allow you to create a real song since you can change neither the pattern nor the tempo within a song.

After two years of use I'm still very satisfied with it, but I discovered some problems:
- The indications on the housing are now unreadable...
- Sometimes the guitar input doesn't work and then it works again after a while, etc. I haven't found any tip in the manual or on the web on how to solve the problem...

I still like it!
