Excellent
- How long have you use it?
A month now. € 189 bought in late thommann.de 08.09
- What is so special that you like most and least?
Most:
- Ease of use "I turn and I record", the various shooting modes (90 °, 2ch and 4ch surround, rear 120 °), the sound quality for a camera in this price range, the settings compressor / limiter / auto gain (8 + modes 3 levels on the case) that greatly facilitate the sound for those who are not experts in this area, weight, possible recording in MP3 VBR (and all others), the possibility of using them as micro USB (compatible with ASIO4ALL, 5ms latency at 44.1kHz in FLStudio), the transformer power supply also works with my ZOOM B1, the doc-quality (but only in English ), the fact of not having to install a specific Windows drivers.

- Noise when you touch the box! ZOOM obviously did not consider the feedback from the H4. It's pretty bad, it is almost impossible to clean by taking a holding in his hand: contact noise of the fingers, over the headphone, etc. .. We can use the adapter "handle micro" that can be mounted on a microphone to hold it up as a true micro "lollipop", but the screw system between ZOOM and the adapter is plastic and some slack (ie, shaking a little, we always sounds box) frankly not a good metal screw that can tighten a bit much would have solved the problem. - Breath a low level (eg sound recording in the wild, ~ -20 db), even with the AGC (automatic gain control) set it right. I think it comes from the built-in microphones more than the device itself, for cons for higher sound levels is inaudible.
- The complexity of menus for some commands (eg delete a file, 10 keystrokes)
- Naming files by default (why not put the date and time instead of ST00x.wav??)
- The window of the empty stack warning message that appears every 3 seconds and you can not remove, which makes manipulations very annoying when the batteries are empty. (Hint: even if you have Ni / MH, do not choose this type in the settings otherwise it will display the window while he is still room for bcp make recordings)
- How would you rate the quality / price?
