- How long have you use it?
For a week, but used in different situations. Radio interview, rehearsal (rock band), output line-table ...
- What is so special that you like most and least?
Getting started is easy, the user manual in French is quite clair.Livré with windshield, microphone clip adapter classic foot to place it on a table, cables (USB, RCA-jack), cover, and headset over a 512Mb card (competitors offer a 64Mb!)
The sound is good, precise microphone (must not dream that is not a static at the same price) less wheezing than some models, four microphones to capture all the sounds around. Registration 4pistes or 2pistes.Les Sample Rate in 24bit 96khz j'usqu'a make zoom h2 recorder nom.Pas worthy of the blast line input, and microphones are three very useful sensibilities with a rock band think a huge drop volume (the digital saturation is not pretty!), the grid of micro buttons seem solid aussi.La USB microphone function is very convenient and works very well, immediately recognized by programs like sound -forge ... As soon as the H2 is connected in USB is alimenté.Les auto batteries and SD card are accessible.
Cons: as stated in the previous opinion Greg, sounds are audible in the box, like all such recorders and microphones are not well suspended (the metal screw does not change). The keys are a bit small doigts.Pendantl big for my registration no way to pause (hopefully a maj firmware!), not practical either to read the menu, enter a name, to clear, or to adjust the metronome by exemple.Les compressor Integrated limiter and should be used with moderation, not too effective!
The plastic side of the gear is fragile.
-Have you tried many other models before buying it?
I tried a long time the MD of Sony, its very good but now outdated, Olympus WS200 voice to mp3 max64kbs (it's a voice recorder to the base!), The Edirol R09 parrait even more fragile than the H2 and the sound is much "whistling," much less well equipped (SD card, no headphone ...) over and above 150euros! The Marantz PMD 660 is more expensive but more pro nothing to say.
- How would you rate the quality / price?
value for money is exellent, one wonders why others are so expensive (edirol r09, boss micro br, m-Audio MicroTrack)
- With experience, you do again this choice? ...
