Neumann has introduced the new "Plus" version of its KMS 104 mic.
Designed with live performance in mind the KMS 104 plus has a cardioid directional characteristic, and it is described as having “extremely transparent sound for optimal intelligibility of the lyrics, and maximum reliability with respect to feedback, to ensure a secure, flawless stage performance.”
In comparison with the KMS 104 and KMS 105, the acoustic properties of the bass range have been redefined, according to Neumann.
The housing, grille, capsule and electronics are said to be robust.
The KMS 104 plus is supplied with a padded nylon case and a stand clamp.
No pricing or release date for now.
