Best value:
Excellent
This is a high quality mono prampli whose production is inspired by the type pramplis Neve 1073 (Contents in the top of prampli).
Submitted it as a rack comprising:
- 1 microphone input (XLR / rear facing)
- Line between 1 (XLR / rear facing)
- Output 1 (XLR / rear facing)
- From a DI (6.35 Jack / front)
- A connector to connect the power supply (must not forget to order the rack, and Pipelines Limited to supply a second LTD-1 if necessary)
- 1 DI switch (On / Off)
- 1 48v Phantom Power Switch (On / Off)
- A switch EQ (On / Off)
- 1 phase switch
The buttons are more than a Neve 1073 because it has more points of Eq dernire this:
- 1 Mic / Line Input Gain
- 1 button Output Volume
- 2 buttons for treble Eq (1 To determine if the bypass frquence on which to work / and the gain attributed to him of -10 + 10 dB)
- 2 buttons for Eq mediums (same as above)
- 2 buttons for bass EQ (same as above)
- 1 button adjustable low-cut.

UTILIZATION
TRS is simple to use if one has the ear if you want to use the equalizer.
on the other hand, as many gems, there is no explicit trs manual for this device. But he who is online at the manufacturer's website, which nanmoins Submitted a nice little trick: examples of rglage suggrs for DIFFERENT types of studio microphones and instruments. http://chandlerlimited.com/library/manuals_index.php
SOUND QUALITY
The sound is reproduced with a high quality TRS and the coloring is almost zero if desired.
OVERALL OPINION
I have been using prs a year, and the particularity sduit me most about him is the sound HUGE.
It is no secret, the one pice prampli is extremely important in the sound, and amricains they are often noted for their famous big sound is they use the big stuff.
In this area, is a Neve 1073-references (or even rfrnce) whether for the ultimate rock origin, or any other types of music (eg voice 50 Cent ...).
I spent a lot of time reading forums before I DCID purchase.
I wanted to dpart an original Neve 1073, but they have become more rare enough
+ They are often sold as single modules which must then be rack (the module that era from 2500 to $ 5000 or more / the rack alone is worth $ 700 in the United States)
+ It seems that there are not two that sound exactly the same> therefore haphazard
+ Modules as they are old, their conservation is more or less good according to the specimens.
In the era of my purchase, Neve had not yet released the 1073 Reissue who are currently at about $ 3500 module. I have not tried these reissues so I do not know if they are worth.
So I lean into the forums on the Neve clones which are quite numerous, and more or less approaching:
- Chandler LTD-1
- Aurora GTQ2 (stereo)
- Phoenix Audio DRS-1 (or in stereo: DRS-2)
- Brent Averill 1073 Module
- Great River ME-1NV (or stereo: MP-2NV)
- Vintech X73i
- Millennia Media HV-3 (normally used by the domestic audio-visual)
- Grace Design 101
- Or Universal Audio 2108
- Etc ...
It was found that the top is the Chandler LTD-1, may also be Brent Averill 1073 (Brent Averill that a silent wizard Neve), and the Great River seems to be good too trs, especially since it is a Stereo version, but unfortunately no equalizer.
I finally opt for the Chandler LTD-1, and I am extremely satisfied.
It does not look anything like when you receive a home, but use the sound that seems simple and natural norm is precisely because it is simple and natural: close to the Ralite .
There is no need to use the equalizer if you do not use it, but he too is standard. The buttons have the strength which had been those of the Neve 1073. And above all it adds beautiful grain is expected of all'un trs high-end equalizer.
What makes you want to do everything in the final pass and throw your prampli mixers if you can afford to buy as many slices as they have.
I then do all the tests in the studio with a friend, my voice, and a Neumann U87.
We compared the LTD-1 a tube preamp Tech lamp, a Universal Audio 2610, an Amek 9098 (if I am not mistaken in the figure), and the old pramps great high-end console Soundcraft home.
There is no photo, LTD-1 is what I prfre. So although there are sr APRS gots and colors, the particularity of the sound of my voice and the microphone used.
But the fact remains that the preamp is an excellent choice with his eyes closed.
Moreover, even some who possdent an original Neve 1073, have their studios dot the LTD-1 and more.
I wanted what's best, and I had the very best with this rack.
And I swear I do not work for them, or they do not pay me to tell (even when I would have AIM.
The report qualitprix is excellent, especially if you buy in the United States. This is clearly expensive, but for big sound, there are more expensive, and may be not as effective.
I do it again with the exprience exactly this same choice, and besides, I rve a day to buy a second tranche to be the same for the stro from time to time.
Voil again I Dvou for hardware that no one has deigned dcrire on this site because I think it is worth every penny.
