Published on 12/21/03 at 15:00Purchased at World Music in Nashville, TN. I paid $350. The people at World Music are great. The prices are comparable (and sometimes better) than on-line retailers.
This is a simple, yet elegant guitar. One hot pickup and one volume control knob. It has a very nice fretboard and the yellow finish really stands out. Plugged in the sound is huge!!! The SD-Invader pickup is wild.
It's a "one-trick pony." You don't get a variety of sounds as you would from a typical strat. But I knew this when I bought it. This guitar is intended for punk-style playing.
Excellent. The Mexican-made strats I have seen lately are really well-made. This guitar has one of the nicest fretboards I have ever played on.
I did not intend on buying this guitar. But at $350, I could not resist. It has inspired me to listen more carefully to Blink-182.
