I used two Denon dn-s 5000 for 1 mois.J'ai so not like to do some scratch with that I have sold one month after having bought ..
It is thanks to the opinions such as that of Anonymous and many other (I make the mistake of bought dn-s 5000) who say that there is the vinyl feeling I bought this for me is that decks are not made for scratching.
To mix it even happens not super convenient with the scratch function, the set because too much concern.

Engine torque is a real m .... even to wedge the plate and on vinyl is not terrible ..
Platinum too expensive despite these features ..

I have a pair for 3 weeks. I'm not very DENON the basis for it is not tjrs bcp function useful in very little space (search and questionable ergonomics).
But here they have really improved, it's good.

What I like about these turntables c well on the turntable, the few effects, and intelligence of certain commands. The belt bit frightening but there is a spare in the box and it cost - $ 10 so it's not worth whining. Otherwise HotStart 4 / 2 samplers / 2 tracks at once / pass-pass / echo / brake / drag-s / slice (Loop unread) / scratch (track 1 / 2 / sampler / cdj mode).

What I like least c the depth of the screen, if you are not well overhanging the last line escapes you (I'm 1m94 yet ...), the HotStart loops and is too close for my taste (nan j 't have big fingers ...).

On the day of purchase, I compared with the cdj 800 / cdj 1000 / Numark Axis 8. An afternoon test (THANKS STAR MUSIC), my ranking was as follows:
- DN-S5000 (bcp features for the price / updated by cdr / alpha track: two tracks at once).
- CDJ 800: price, a return to cue the tray is released qd
- CDJ 1000: the reference, but the relative inertia of Palteau bothered me in scratch
- Numark: I never liked Fisher Price even when I was little.

As I had the means, I allowed myself to buy it but it would have taken the CDJ 800. The price / features / quality is excellent, because for just a quality inferior to Pioneer, it was more bcp innovations, the ability to update software (by the way she reads the MP3 but only with the pitch as a function ...).

A remake? yes because of the good stuff c / not for one day or another will have more competition. The CDJ 1000 MK2 does not have as much and will be announced at about the same price ...

Finally, I would end by saying that before I was 100% Pioneer (ergonomics and quality in my opinion) and although 15 days moaned against Denon, I must say that I appreciate them now, despite the harshness of some control (pitch bend : typical DENON).

I have two DN 5000 for 3 months.

STRENGTHS: everything else ....! I began: memories of DENON, with the possibility of two loops mmoriser + CUE point per track, so 12 tracks on a CD, you can mmoriser a CUE and two loops on each of the 12 tracks, with recall or memory and not allowing manual mmorisation to other loops without erasing the memory. all this is impossible in pioneer ....! the Denon is very strong .... BRAVO.

I continue .... LOOPS: you can make a loop in the middle of the song, we return to the point of CUE, we start reading, and when the reader arrives at the loop-loop .... it makes sense. .... but not at home .... PIONEER PIONEER is not known to loop during playback, it must be live at risk of harm to the Denon ....... still BRAVO .

It is also not on track 2 (for ex.) To a hot start that sends us on track 3, one that sends us with a loop on the track 9 and a cue point on the track 2, and m Morise all on track 2 ..... it works and when it recalls the memory later, we find all this without problem.

For résumé, if a plateau DN 5000 was responding as the PIONEER in the mix, I think that would be the best stage of the market without question .... but it's true that mixing it with PIONEER really easy and natural, whereas with the DN5000, it takes some getting used to and it is not always empty.

I think I would do nanmois the same choice if I had to buy a platinum aujiourd'hui.

denon dns 3000: mias good one and not the hot cue aphatrack
Pioneer CDJ 800: trs simple, see too (one hot cue), catastrophic design, perfect for small budgets
pioneer cdj 1000 mk2: easy use, but supposedly the REFERENCE function honntement level it is more than denon dn s5000 vs limit: no AlphaTrack, coffee does not turn, no hot disc ... So I would say just a reputable volemme if ca is the REFERENCE club, see the S5OOO it is cheaper and it is richer ...
reloop: not worth talking about a catastrophe
numark: outside the cdx1 (still more than adequate with a good scratch, but its a lot of default) no salvation, the rest is the same level as reloop, boost, gemini ...

for the budget: CMX 3000 is double drive or cdj 800 for large budgets: DENON DN S 5000

me: I own 2 dns 5000 for 1 year and find them for any gun .......... except that sometimes I still have a little hassle to mix with.
TIP: I fired the black felt, I printed a logo to my name on photo paper that I put in place of the felt.

I love everything about this board, although some function may not be affordable to departure.

I tried:
- CDJ 800: nice but did not trs caustaud
- CDJ 1000: good value and we quickly made the rounds
- Technics SL-DZ1200: From cochonerie true, not a set standard practice used in the tray.
- 1 Numark CDX: Nice but Dean this case it is better now really have the true vinyl.

Nummak exccelent a report from Pioneer qualitprix which are the main competitor in the CD player.

I just received my pair of S-5000 sail 1 week. I have only one word: OUTSTANDING! these are real race bx
the board takes a little patience before a perfect grip, but quickly found the touch vinyl. can scratch the front-rear, but especially the pre-scratch before.

The characteristic I like least ... ba um say that there's not much I do not like.
