Hello people.:D

Here's a list of what I use.

Intaaudio Workstaion (Dedicated audio PC) running windows XP professional
DMX 6 Fire soundcard.
REASON 3.0
Tecnics 1210 turntable

My genre of music is southern US Hardcore Rap.

producers such as Juicy J and DJ Paul, Lil Jon, Traxstarr etc, reflect the type of music I wish to produce at home.

Barring equipment for vocals, can anyone give my a comprehensive list of additional equipment needed to get some solid material composed within my home.
At least to a quality which I can take to a real studio for laying down vocals.

I know I need to buy a midi keyboard and some studio monitors. I don't know If I need nearfield, active or both????

would I need to buy an outboard mixer or can I use Reason's software mixer????

I was considering buying an AKAI MPC2000 for tight drums and samples, but i'm not
sure if it would be compatible with a software based home studio.
Is this a good idea or would I be wasting my money???

Also I need help with recording, what should I buy, and what format would be best to record on.

I know I am asking a lot of questions, but any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Even basic set up advice would be helpful.

Thank you very much for any help.
