Vox AC30CC2X

Tube Combo Guitar Amp from Vox belonging to the Custom Classic series

Published on 02/08/06 at 22:09
Reissue of the AC30 made in China
power of 30W is widely advertised as measured ca must make it 50 or 100W
2 inputs, an effects loop and a switch for tremolo and reverb
CAUTION back ca heavy burden

UTILIZATION

Nothing complicated
one branch, it does everything in the middle and it will play full stop, no-brainer ca SONNE
sound, that of a class A in top shape and heat make you an EMG to a PAF of 59 years
reverb:: TOP
Tremolo:: TOP
sound TOP

and yet I have a real blackface fender and although different that is the same level

SOUNDS

I play blues rock to see a bit jazzy, with a 335, and an expert Vigier
of course the clean sounds are warm, but the crunch is the same level with grain and a great reaction al attack
respect for the guitar is total, 335 sounds differ from one Lespaul same for the couple strat / tele

It is not an amp for modern metal (saturation limit to black desire / telephone)

OVERALL OPINION

I have compared

my blackface: he takes no trouble to compare
AC30CC2 a VOX (normal hp): the difference in sound is amazing how CC2 comparative listening with almost CC2X pass for a transistor
a Mesa F50: bof any dish, reverb decay, its clear Baluch, crunch means
Mesa Rectoverb one: not bad, but not the stuff that makes the difference

It's been roughly a year and a half I'm looking for a successor to my blackface is too short to play in groups (20W) and 65 from the reed twin with a bowl of 15, I had never been fooled a this point.
